Blessing

May 3rd we had Ginger blessed.
It was wonderful,
Except for the little boy who holds the microphone
didn't hold it high enough
so I was straining to hear what Casey was saying.
But he took notes the night before so I was able to see what he said.
But Casey did a great job nonetheless.
Not to mention it will be pretty cool for G to see the notes from her blessing.

Here are some pictures of our family.
Im so happy for Ginger to be surrounded with tons of love and family and friends.
I cant wait to see what the years bring us.
But can we skip the teenage years, please?

I love this picture. Ginger would not cooperate for the life of her.
She was pissed, therefore I was pissed.
Casey wanted me to stand in the middle of this wall so he could set up the timer and get the measurements right or whatever.
Please do not be jealous of my modeling skills, the face, the posture, the pissiness.
Maybe I shouldn't use that word since were talking about blessings and such.
But to thine own self be true.
And mine own self needs a little work.

And just like that... Im happy again. magic.

Were so grateful for Grandma and Grandpa Randall to come from Idaho and to Aaron and sweet pregnant Lindzi to drive from Salt Lake just for this, it means so much.
And also very grateful for Marsha for driving from California just for this, wish we got a picture.
And for all our family for being there.
So this accounts for all the pictures Im sharing, just to show our love to all our loved ones.

Overall I cant complain. It was a beautiful blessing which is all I can ask for
for my doll Ginger.

I love your wall pic.

I swear I give Jeff that exact same look, pose, and attitude probably 20 times a day.

In my head I look just like you doing it, but in reality I'm sure it's much much more of a monstrosity.

I am loving that you totally kept your 'pissy' picture and posted it! Isn't it funny how the attitude of your child can change your own? Congratulations on the blessing! [note to self, call the church to have baby baptized]

Too funny!!! I remember trying to take Brighten's picture for her announcement and couldn't get one. It was finally like ten at night and Luke told me we had to stop. I freaked out but, then the next day we got a perfect one in one second. It's so frustrating that babies just don't get it. Brighten is starting to say "cheese" any time that she sees a camera. Great family pictures. Looks like you guys had a great day. Love you bunches!

Hahahaha! How funny! The pics don't even start to do the day justice. It was such a beautiful day all around. Casey did a perfect blessing, really! I hope Aaron took notes. :) And I LOVE LOVE LOVE your families. My favorite is how short Grandma and Grandpa look standing next to Casey! They are the sweetest! Ginger was SO gorgeous. Baby G is certainly a lucky baby to be surrounded by so much love! Miss you guys.

how wonderful to have so much family there! Your wall picture reminds me of my husband. As soon as I pull out the camera he starts groaning and it takes like 7 pictures to get one of him with a decent smile. I think getting my fancy camera did some sort of trick, though. We went outside and I made him stand by his pile of dirt in my driveway from the fixing of our well and he smiled! I feel like we are making progress.

G is so beautiful. I can't wait to see her grow :) This kid, who is the size of.. umm.. don't know, 5 inches? is already controlling my emotions. I can't imagine how it's going to be when I can hear every whine and fuss. Way to bounce back :)

Blessings sure are a wonderful event (and a little stressful for the mama) No worries about your 'pissiness' picture- I have three of those from Hailyn's blessing- I know I should've been more spiritual and such- but I was tired and cranky, Hailyn was cranky and the logistics of the day were uhhh a litte stressful. So I think deep down every mom has at least one 'pissiness' moment during a blessing (if the blessing is done at home- which ours was)she looks so dang cute- and if you figure out how to skip the teenage years, let me know- I'd like H to skip them too!

I though I read this post and then I looked at the pics, and didn't recognize them. I didn't leave a commment so I must not have seen it. Sorry we couldn't be there. Your right there is nothing better than knowing you have tons of love and support.
